Major Agricultural Activities
Faryab is famous for karakul (fat-tailed sheep) skins, cashmere and wool carpets, since the majority of inhabitants are involved in animal husbandry. Important crops include wheat, melon, watermelon, grapes, alfalfa, and sesame.
